ADONIRAM COUNCIL #2 R&SM was chartered on May 9, 1860. (The Charter is signed by Albert Pike and Dr Albert Mackey probably one of the few that exist today.)   It too has a membership over 400. It has 19 living Past Illustrious Masters and two living Past Most Illustrious Masters. These companions have presided over all the Councils in North Carolina. The initiation fee for this body is $25.00 and the annual dues are $8.00. Adoniram Council has five certified lecturers and also holds two classes annually, one in the spring and one in the fall.
